REIGNITE the FIRE: The Mission of Kentucky Catholics
With your help, we are spreading the light of Christ across this land through engaging media and next-generation social platforms
From the Cathedrals in the wilderness to the Cumberland Gap, the land of Kentucky is ripe with potential for evangelization.
The mission of Kentucky Catholics (and the Flaget Report) is to reawaken and grow the fire that once burned in this land. Over 40 dioceses can trace their roots back to Kentucky. Missionaries and countless ancestors gave their lives so that we could inherit a land so beautiful, crowned by its many churches, religious orders, and organizations.
It is no secret that many of our family and friends are leaving the Catholic Church in droves. Decades of decay have emptied the pews and our communities have fallen apart.
Let us then storm Heaven with our prayers! In the words of Bishop Flaget, if you can "show a great desire for the salvation of souls", you will attract others. In these towns once Catholic to the core, we can continue the work of the missionaries in reaching people who need the faith: "The discovery of a single one will lead to the discovery of ten others."
Today, I ask you to financially support this mission of Kentucky Catholics, and its many connected branches, all built around uniting the Kentucky Church through communication and community.
Through this united apostolate, reaching both the Catholic and non-Catholic, souls will be healed and rescued.
Ask God how you are called to extend our mission, whether it be through prayer, volunteering, making a financial contribution, or simply being a part of our community. Kentucky, once known as "The Dark and Bloody Ground", is a triumphant monument of the Catholic Church only made possible with grace and generosity. The light of Christ shines once more!
In honor of the zealous Fr. Nerinckx, we ask that all the holy men and women of the Kentucky Catholics who have already reached Heaven, pray for us!
