The Flaget Report: Local Catholic News From the Heart of the American Church
Investigative journalism, historic tales, and interviews from a new media outlet in the Kentucky Holy Land
Welcome to the home of the Flaget Report.
The Kentucky Holy Land is the home of the Catholic Church past the Allegheny mountains, where tales of the frontier priests and their flock reverberate to this day, and that is where we are based out of.
The Diocese of Bardstown was later moved to the bustling city of Louisville, and so our coverage includes all of the Archdiocese of Louisville, where history mixed with exciting new movements and leaders welcomes a focused media effort to share these stories with the rest of the Church.
So, what can you expect?
Exclusive journalism, on the ground coverage, professional interviews, videos, and more.
We are growing organically from a Facebook community, called Bardstown Catholics. I AM Catholic, the distribution branch of Catholic Creators, is taking us under its wing.
As we look forward to the release of our 2024 film, Kentucky Holy Land, and its accompanying book, The Triumph of Catholicism in Kentucky, we want to share the beauty of our home with the world and to awaken many of the sheep who have gone astray from the flock.
The Flaget Report has a perfect bird’s eye view into the state of the American Catholic Church during this time, as we have a history that rivals that of The Lord of the Rings and our diocese is ripe with stories of hope and revival.
Bishop Flaget and Fr. Nerinckx,
Pray for us!
